Guide
Everything you need to know about playing and creating content on Fan Meter.
1. Pick a collection Browse featured or community collections from the Play page.
2. Identify the frames Each round contains multiple movie frames. For every frame, type the movie name into the search box. Suggestions appear as you type.
3. Beat the timer You have 15 seconds per frame. Answer correctly to earn base points, and the faster you answer the bigger your time bonus. Later frames are worth more points.
A collection is a themed group of rounds. To create one, sign in and hit the + Create button on the Play page.
Give your collection a name, a short description, and optionally a thumbnail image to make it stand out.
Once created, you can add rounds to it and share it with the community.
Each round is a set of movie frames that players try to identify. Open your collection and click Add Round.
For each frame, upload a frame from a movie and enter the correct movie title. You need at least 2 frames per round, and you can add as many as you like.
Players will see each frame one at a time and try to guess which movie it's from using the typeahead search.
- Use clear, recognizable screenshots. Pick frames that are identifiable but not too obvious.
- Keep collections themed. Group rounds by era, genre, director, or actor for a better experience.
- Avoid spoilers. Don't use frames that give away major plot twists or endings.
- Add enough frames. More frames means a longer, more engaging round for players.
